About Trekking Mirador Base Torres

The Torres del Paine: Base Torres Trek takes place within Torres del Paine National Park, located in the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic Region. In addition to being a national park, it was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1978, and in 2013, it was voted the Eighth Wonder of the World by VirtualTourist.com (TripAdvisor Media Group), after competing with more than 50 countries and 330 stunning destinations. All of this makes Torres del Paine National Park a unique and unforgettable destination, admired worldwide for its breathtaking natural beauty. During this trek, you’ll experience crystal-clear rivers, turquoise lakes, pristine forests, majestic granite peaks, and ancient glaciers — a stunning palette of blues from the lakes, ice, and sky that will leave you with an unforgettable Patagonian memory. Itinerary Departing from Puerto Natales around 7:00 a.m., we’ll travel approximately 2.5 hours across the province to reach Estancia Cerro Paine, the starting point of our adventure. The trail covers 22 kilometers, ascending through the beautiful Ascencio Valley alongside the river of the same name. We’ll walk through dense native forests, surrounded by imposing mountains and glaciers. After about four hours of hiking, we’ll arrive at the famous Base Torres viewpoint, one of the most iconic spots in Patagonia. Here, you’ll be rewarded with a spectacular view of the three towering granite peaks, the Torres Lake and Glacier, Mount Almirante Nieto, and Oggioni Ridge, all framed by the rich biodiversity of the area. This trek is truly a must for nature and trekking enthusiasts, offering one of the most scenic and rewarding experiences in all of Patagonia. After the descent, we’ll board our transfer back to Puerto Natales, arriving around 9:00 p.m.
