We’ll start the day by picking you up from your accommodation at 7:00 a.m. and heading on a short 47 km drive from El Calafate to Puerto Punta Bandera, where our navigation begins. Once on board, we’ll sail through the northern arm of Lake Argentino, heading toward the Upsala Channel, where we’ll navigate among the massive icebergs that have calved from the front of the Upsala Glacier. We’ll then continue into the Spegazzini Channel, where we’ll first see the Seco Glacier, before sailing onward to the Spegazzini Glacier, accompanied by spectacular views of the Heim Sur and Peineta Glaciers. Next, we’ll disembark at La Base Spegazzini and begin a short 300-meter walk along a flat trail connecting the dock with the Refugio Spegazzini. Along the way, we’ll enjoy unparalleled views of Glaciers Bay, stop at interpretive stations, and visit viewpoints located about 350 meters away. Our bilingual guides will accompany us throughout the expedition, offering safety information and insights, and we’ll arrive together at Refugio Spegazzini — an incredible spot to admire the glaciers from a privileged viewpoint. Throughout the navigation, we’ll be joined by bilingual guides and photographers, and the catamarans feature an onboard bar service offering coffee, beverages, and snacks. Finally, we’ll return to the port around 4:00 p.m. and arrive back at your accommodation at approximately 5:30 p.m.
