About PROGRAMA W / 5 días – 4 noches
Day 1: Hike — Approximately 22 km (7–8 hours) / Difficulty: Moderate–High
At 6:30 a.m., you’ll be picked up from your accommodation and transferred to the Puerto Natales bus terminal to board the 7:00 a.m. bus to Torres del Paine. After a 2-hour trip, upon arrival at Laguna Amarga, you’ll transfer to Transporte Las Torres, which will take you to the Welcome Center. After check-in at the Refugio, we’ll begin our first hike — the Base Torres trail.
The Base Torres trek is one of the most popular routes in the park, covering 22 km and taking about 8 hours of activity. After a 4-hour ascent, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the three iconic granite towers rising majestically above a glacial lake — one of the most spectacular and emblematic landscapes in Chilean Patagonia.
We’ll return along the same trail and spend the night at Refugio or Camping Las Torres.
Day 2: Hike — Approximately 15 km (4–5 hours) / Difficulty: Moderate
Today we’ll hike toward Los Cuernos del Paine, passing through beautiful valleys, rivers, and forests — a lighter day filled with scenic beauty. This moderate-difficulty trail features gentle slopes and no major elevation gains.
We’ll spend the night at the impressive Cuernos del Paine area, staying at Refugio Cuernos or Refugio Francés, depending on availability.
Day 3: Hike — 18 km (6–7 hours) / Difficulty: High
Along with Base Torres, this is one of the longest days of the program. We’ll hike through a dense native forest at the foot of the mountains and enter one of the most beautiful valleys in the park — the French Valley (Valle del Francés). Surrounded by dramatic granite peaks and cliffs at the base of Paine Grande, the highest mountain in the region, we’ll marvel at the hanging French Glacier.
We’ll then continue along the mountain base until reaching Paine Grande, where we’ll camp or stay at the Refugio, located on the shores of Lake Pehoé — offering an incredible view of the Paine Range.
Day 4: Hike — 11 km (4–5 hours) / Difficulty: Moderate
On this day, we’ll hike for about 4 hours between the Paine Range and Lake Grey, until reaching Refugio and Camping Grey. Along the trail, we’ll enjoy stunning views of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field and the Grey Glacier.
We’ll spend the night at Refugio or Camping Grey, located just minutes from the lake and glacier, both part of the vast Southern Ice Field.
Day 5: Navigation — Lake Grey
On our final day, we’ll board a catamaran to navigate Lake Grey, one of the park’s main attractions. We’ll sail close to the front wall of the Grey Glacier, enjoying a pisco sour made with glacial ice. After about two hours, we’ll arrive at the lake’s southern shore, where a vehicle will be waiting to take us back to Puerto Natales.
