About City Tour Punta Arenas

We’ll pick up passengers from their respective hotels to begin an engaging city tour, starting at the Main Square (Plaza de Armas), surrounded by historic buildings and featuring the monument to Hernando de Magallanes. We’ll also visit the Municipal Cemetery, known for its beautiful gardens and mausoleums, and the traditional Monument to the Shepherd (Monumento al Ovejero). Next, we’ll head to the Nao Victoria, an impressive life-size interactive ship museum that recreates the expedition led by Hernando de Magallanes over 500 years ago. Built from the original plans, the vessel is fully equipped with its rigging and life-size figures. You’ll also see the replica of the schooner “Ancud”, the ship used to claim the Strait of Magellan and these distant lands for the Chilean government in 1843. We’ll then drive along the coastal avenue (Avenida Costanera) next to the legendary Strait of Magellan, where we’ll admire the monument to the schooner Ancud. Finally, we’ll ascend to the Cerro de la Cruz viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the colorful rooftops of the city, the Strait of Magellan, and Tierra del Fuego Island, before returning to your accommodation.
