Puerto Natales was founded on May 31st, 1911. It is the second largest city of the Region of Magallanes and Chilean Antartica. As the capital of Ultima Esperanza Province, Puerto Natales, has a population of approximately 18,500 people and is known for it’s simplicity and amazing geographic location.

 

Located on the east coast of the Señoret channel, it is surrounded by large snow covered mountains and ancient glaciers.

 

Puerto Natales is known for its amazing history and culture. Unified and created by workers, the past milestones are now part of the major tourist attractions of the city.

ITINERARY:

 

Departing from your hostel/hotel, this two-hour tour will take you to the most relevant cultural and natural attractions of the town. You will visit the beautiful Villa Cariño lookout giving you an amazing view of Puerto Natales and the nearby geography. Next, you will visit The Fishermen’s Port, where you will see the marine industry in the town. You will also visit the old Puerto Bories, an old sheep and wool processing plant, which holds rich history of the area and is currently considered a National Historical Monument. Finishing the tour, you will be taken back to your hostel/hotel.
